Project Story
The stained glass windows at Darnestown Presbyterian Church had served the congregation for generations and were in need of a full restoration. Washington Art Glass Studio was selected to carefully remove, restore, and preserve the historic windows while maintaining their original craftsmanship and appearance.
The restoration process addressed aging lead, weakened structural components, and other deterioration that had developed over decades of exposure and use. Each window was carefully evaluated and restored with an emphasis on preserving as much original material as possible.
Following restoration, the windows were returned to the church renewed and stabilized for continued use by future generations.
